Pat Tierney, acclaimed lap-slide guitarist and roots troubadour, unveils his much-anticipated third album, Lost In The Haze. Recorded over the past three years at the picturesque Yama-Nui Studio on the Sunshine Coast, the latest record is a sonic tapestry of dreamy acoustic soundscapes that invites listeners into a world of tranquil reverie.
Lost In The Haze taps into an honest, open and evocative space lyrically, whilst seamlessly blending lap slide guitar, warm acoustic guitars, and ethereal keys to craft an album that is as introspective as it is enchanting. Each track is a journey through a misty landscape of sound, where lush melodies and ambient textures weave together to create an atmosphere of serene contemplation. Lap slide guitarist and blues & roots troubadour Pat Tierney brings an eclectic and captivating musical experience to every show. Taking influence from the likes of Bob Dylan, Ben Harper and JJ Cale, Pat's music dances between folk, blues, roots, and soul. A songsmith and poet, Pat brings an old-school approach with modern tales of love, loss, hope, and social justice.
Pat has also performed at iconic festivals such as Queenscliff Music Festival (VIC), Caloundra Music Festival (QLD), Blues on Broadbeach (QLD) & The West Australian Guitar Festival (WA), as well as a slew of songwriting accolades along the way including three Queensland Music Award finalist nods in 2015, 2023 & 2024.
Pat's sophomore 2019 album Red Moon, also received rave reviews with features on ABC radio, Double J and community radio across the country, as well as clocking close to 2 million streams across the digital streaming platforms since its release. The album also featured songs in QLD Road & Safety advertisements, and the track 'Angels' featured in the recent motorbike and surf documentary, 'Death Rides A Horse' (Dues Ex Machina).
