The KaRs are back with their latest festive album, Home for the Holidays, filled with a beautiful blend of new waiata and reimagined Christmas classics. This album promotes the spirit of kotahitanga (unity and togetherness), bringing families and communities together in celebration of the season.
The album celebrates diversity with songs performed in a variety of languages, thanks to a wonderful community of people who came together to make it happen. These include te reo Māori, Samoan, Fijian, German, Spanish, and Irish. The kaupapa of the album can be summed up in the words of the title track ‘Home for the Holidays’. This heartwarming song highlights the importance of family, friends, and loved ones during the festive season.
