Released in July 2025 via EMPIRE, the five-track EP spent six weeks in the Aotearoa (New Zealand) Top 20 Album Chart. Every song: “Breakdown”, “Heartbeat”, “New Romance”, “Mi Amor” and “When It’s Raining”, charted individually on the Hot 20 Aotearoa Singles Chart with “New Romance” taking the top spot as well as peaking at #21 on the Hot 40 Singles Chart and holding #1 NZ song on radio for 14 consecutive weeks. 

The EP’s success extended globally, earning prominent placement on DSP editorial playlists, support from international radio and widespread praise from media with Atwood Magazine (US) featuring Borderline in its 2025 Artist Discoveries Of The Year and ABSO (UK) declaring that “Borderline have been stirring excitement in their homeland and they are now making waves worldwide.”
