Naarm/Melbourne's formidable punk/hip-hop hybrid MUDRAT releases his highly anticipated debut album SOCIAL COHESION.

The title of the album SOCIAL COHESION is a direct response to proposed anti-protest laws in Victoria, which are being justified under the guise of protecting "social cohesion." This record challenges that narrative, arguing that genuine unity comes not from silence or conformity, but from facing down division and fighting for collective justice.

The album takes you on a journey. It starts with "BREAK FREE," a cynical opener that questions the very idea of freedom. It then moves into "LAST NIGHT" and "FME," addressing apathy and misplaced anger. The emotional peak comes with "FACETOFACE," a track where MUDRAT meets with the ghost of his father.

The album also includes viral fan favourites: "I HATE RICH C*NTS" and "YOU DON'T CARE ABOUT POOR PEOPLE." These tracks serve as a powerful introduction to the album's larger conversation about class distinction and shared struggle.

While the album tackles heavy themes, the core message is a call to action. The heart of the project is "MUD 25," a track that’s both a raw scream and a direct stand for justice. It's a powerful and direct response to the ongoing genocide in Gaza, a statement that an artist's main job is to speak the truth, no matter how hard it is.
