Adelaide’s rising indie rock powerhouse Purée return with ‘What Happens Now?’, a six track EP that marks a bold new chapter for the four piece. Pressed on vinyl for the first time, this collection captures the band at their most vulnerable and vital - a raw, jangly blend of emotional depth and melodic power.
Following the release of standout singles “Someone You’d like”, “Inspired To Do Nothing” and “GO” (the latter hailed by triple j's Abby Butler as proof they’re “the next big indie band to break out of Australia”), What Happens Now? cements Purée’s place as one of Australia’s most hyped new acts. Across these six tracks, the band explore themes of personal upheaval, growth and the unsteady path forward, all wrapped in their signature anthemic sound.
Lead vocalist Matt describes the EP as “a big red marker on the Purée timeline... almost like a therapy session.” Written during a period of intense change, the songs speak to the group’s shared and individual experiences, a testament to the tight knit friendship of members Matt, Jack, Liam and Mackenzie.
Having toured nationally and shared stages with the likes of Beddy Rays, Girl In Red, G Flip, Conan Gray and The Last Dinner Party, Purée are quickly becoming a fixture on Australia’s favourite stages. In support of the EP, the band will hit the road in early 2026, bringing their electric live show to Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane.
