Miguel Hutton, known for his boundless creativity and dynamic keyboard work, adds layers of depth and texture to the band's sound, elevating their compositions to new heights. Nic Morton's solid rhythms on the drums provide the pulsating heartbeat of Velvet Bloom's sonic universe, anchoring the band's ethereal melodies with his steady groove.
Their 2022 debut EP 'Glimmer' served as a catalyst for their rise, allowing them to tour nationally across Australia, from VIC to TAS. Their performances garnered acclaim, with sold-out shows at esteemed venues like Lazy Bones (NSW) and The Night Cat (VIC). Released through independent label Cousin Will Records, 'Glimmer' found success on Spotify, earning placements on several editorial playlists including The Local List, Soulful Day, and Fresh Finds.
Following the EP's release, Velvet Bloom continued to make waves, appearing on ABC's Spicks and Specks and gracing stages at The NGV, Loch Hart Music Festival and MONA to name a few.
